In beginning of spring, as warmer, a cherry tree begins to bloom everywhere. It bring townscape to changes into light pink, and makes us relax.
The flowering sprout of cherry tree is formed in last summer.
And it is in a dormancy state without advancing further.
The dormant sprout awoke by exposing to low temperature of autumn and winter, this is called “a dormancy defeat”.
The more cold winter, we can see the more beautiful cherry blossom.
And then it begins to prepare for flowering.
As higher temperature, flower sprout grows up. At last, it reaches a peak and flower light pink. this makes feel us “spring has come”.
If you come to Japan, the best time is the beginning of April.
You can enjoy the most beautiful cherry blossom viewing(Japanese say “Hanami”)!
