アコースティックギター1本のみで三味線・三線・シタール・パーカッション・スティールパン等
様々な民族楽器の音を表現し、ギターの限界を超えた超絶技法を操る。
16歳からギターを始め毎日最低15時間以上練習し、わずか1年でプロ活動開始。
谷村新司・渡辺美里・夏川りみ・松浦亜弥・平原綾香などのバックギタリストとしての参加や、
日産・国民健康保険・ENEOSのCM音楽やSEGAソニックシリーズの音楽を担当。
hide(X JAPAN)トリビュートアルバムにも参加。
ヨーロッパ・アジア各国での海外公演や、ドイツでの現地新聞紹介、
中国・フィリピンの現地TV番組に出演、ドイツ・中国・韓国で行われた
大規模な国際フェスに多数招聘される等、海外から評価が特に高くワールドワイドに活動中。

Hikaru Tanimoto
Hikaru was born in Hokkaido,
Japan on June 18th 1984.
Hikaru was born on June 18th 1984, in Hokkaido, northern Japan.
He started playing the acoustic guitar at age 16 and debuted as a professional guitarist at age 17.
He used to practice for at least 15 hours every day for one year before his surprising debut.
By using only one acoustic guitar without multiplex recordings,
he can create various sounds such as percussion, slap bass, tapping and can even mimic some ethnic musical instruments
(Indian, African, Spanish, Japanese, Caribbean etc).
Most people didn’t believe that he could do it well at first.
His playing style is very unique and overthrows traditional guitar concepts.
According to the music magazines, he is without doubt world class. Also,
it says that “What a surprise! He’s got a bright future ahead of him.”
He has written music for such projects as Nissan automobile ads,
National Health Insurance of Japan ads and “Sonic and the Black Knight (Sonic the Hedgehog)” of Sega video games.
He was one of few Asian musicians who were given the opportunity to attend “Frankfurt Musik messe 2010 (Frankfurt, Germany)”, which is actually one of the largest international musical instrument festivals in the world.
He was also invited to “Music China (Shanghai, 2009-2013) “,
“Music Korea 2010 (Incheon)” , “Palm Expo (Beijing, 2012-2013) ”
all big international musical instrument festivals in Asia. In 2011,
he participated as one of fifteen professional finger-style guitarists from all over the world for “International Finger-style Guitar Festival (Shanghai, China)”.
In addition, he has been to Germany, Spain, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Korea, Malaysia and France to share and impart his music and live performances.
In Japan, he has already guested as a backup guitarist for famous singers and even made solo performances on TV and radio stations.
In 2010, he was ranked in the top 20 for most popular Japanese guitarist in Swing Journal,
a popular magazine for jazz music.
Moreover, he has appeared in magazine write ups and newspaper articles.
He has also performed at festivals such as Fuji Rock and Rising Sun as well as at events, parties, schools, hospitals, cafes and restaurants.
Now, he is currently engaging himself in giving guitar lessons and teaching techniques to his students,
as well as composing and producing extraordinary music.
